Welcome!
My name is Angel Honey, and I began using a camera as a young adult and love taking pictures with a viewpoint. I especially enjoy creating artwork which gives you something new each time you look into it.
In 1989, I entered photographs to a juried show at the Sechelt Art Centre and one was accepted. Through the years I have treasured the words given to me by the Director / Curator of the Burnaby Art Gallery who was involved with the review of the entries.
Her kind words have motivated me to experiment with my art. The result is that I create art with several mediums & with broader color strokes.
Having lived in the rolling hills of Alberta, the north of Manitoba, the beautiful islands of Queen Charlotte, the isolation of Stewart, the sunny Okanagan areas of British Columbia, I have seen many beautiful places.
I have lived at a time when there was no electricity, no running water, & food was from the chicken coop & other farm animals.
I’ve grown up among people of various cultures: Chinese, Irish, German, Austrian, Canadian, Spanish, English, Japanese, & French to name a few.
Perhaps knowing my familiarity with various cultures, places and ways of living, one may better understand why I cannot limit myself to any one style of art, though you may see several in one style.
Each piece is created to be colourful, unique and eye-catching, letting you imagine and dream. Let my art fill your senses & lend beauty to your life. Bring life to your home or work environment or show someone you care.
Enjoy … Angel Honey
A note about my artist's signature:
I began signing my art as A.H., but chose to use my first name along with my last initial, as people tend to remember my first name. And yes, Angel Honey really is my given name. The first is from my dad, the second from my ex.
